Tasmania Trip - Epilogue

Tasmania Trip - Epilogue

Here is the high tech track log of the trip :-) I couldn't be bothered trying to use my GPS to record the track log because with the slow winding terrain, its memory would have filled up before I had a chance to download it each day.

In total we did approximately 8,100km with a fuel economy of 17.6 liters per 100km. I didn't think this was too bad considering the amount of slow hilly terrain encountered.

All up there were 29 nights away in the camper which consisted of 14 unpowered and 15 powered. Not to mention 6 months to complete the trip report, whoops!

We were on the go the whole time so it wasn't a really relaxing holiday, but it was good to get out and see some new territory. It would have been nice to take it a bit slower and spend a bit more time in some places. Going across on the Spirit of Tasmania was certainly an experience but I can't say we will be rushing back to catch it again. Once we have explored the rest of the world, we will probably just fly back and rent a camper to fill in the areas that we missed and or spend more time in the areas that we didn't get to spend much time in.

We have also put together some handy Tasmania Touring tips which can be found here.

Anyway stay tuned for the next adventure!
Steve and Jodie
