Day 3 - 3/4/2015 - Salvator Rosa
After a few more drops of rain during the night, we woke up to a perfect day. We started off the day by having an explore around the camp grounds.
 |
From the words of Major Mitchell - "It was a discovery worthy of the toils of a pilgrimage!" |
On the back of the monument you could leave your name.
 |
Dam it, I forgot to pack the engraver! |
The rocky outcrop behind out camp also gave us an opportunity to see if there were any other prospective waterholes in the creek - unfortunately there weren't.

Looking back towards Spyglass Peak |
 |
Looking down on our camp site |
There was a lot of reeds chocking up the Nogoa River

We had to push through the reeds to reach a little water hole. It was enough to cool down in. |

The rest of the day was taken up with just general relaxing, catching up on reading and sleeping! Only another 3 groups turned up so the area was still nice and quite and not wall to wall camping.
