Day 21 - 14/2/2014 – Teds Beach to Huonville
It was going to be another big day of driving and the first part was
backtracking from Teds Beach to our first stop of the day, Russell Falls in the Mt Field National Park for smoko.

From the National Park entrance it was only a short walk into Russell Falls, and well worth it.
The camping area at Mt Field National Park also looked really nice.
If we had more time we would have stayed and also checked out the ski
fields, even through there wasn't any snow.
Lunch stop was in a park in New Norfolk. It was amazing as we had
never seen fruit trees just growing on the street and in parks. We
had only ever seen them in orchards. The park had different
varieties of apple and cherry trees growing along with a wide variety
of roses.
We
successfully negotiated our way through Hobart and headed for
Kingston. We needed to stop at Kingston for a restock. It was the
first Woolies that we had
passed
since Bernie.
We were staying at the Huon Valley Caravan Park. The park is also a
bit of a small working farm. There were plenty of farm animals
wandering around the park and we quite often had ducks, chickens and
geese wandering through out campsite. Because we didn't arrive until
about 5:30pm and had to setup camp, we didn't get a chance to see the
feeding of the animals or other farm activities that they hold on a
daily basis.
