Basically just returning to Broome for a night before heading back to Derby the following day. While in Broome again I managed to get a quick snap of the outside of the outdoor cinema.
On
the way back to Derby we had to pull off the side of the road to let
some big mining trucks past. I wish we had just been a few more
kilometres north of where we were as there was a one lane bridge with
guard rails. It would have been pretty cool to see the trucks go
over that to see how much overhang over the bridge there was and the
clearance on the guard rails. I don't think there would have been
much.
We
found out that the parts for the camper had turned up a couple of
days early so we organised with the place doing the repairs to drop
it off in two days time. As much as we wanted it fixed and to be on
the road again, we had an early tour booked for the following day and
we also had to find alternative accommodation for a couple of nights
and unpack what we needed from the camper. Not something that we
could do before our early start in the morning.
That
evening we also met our back camp neighbours, Al and Ericia. We
shared a few drinks, a number of stories and quite a few laughs. It
was about 10:30pm when we called it a night and then still had to the
washing up and packing etc for the early start in the morning!
