Day 5 - 5/4/2015 - Salvator Rosa to Biloela
We woke to an absolute stunning morning. The clouds had cleared over night and it was going to be another beautiful day. It was a pity we had to pack up and leave :-(
Hmmm looks a bit darker than when we came in! |

We arrived back at Springsure at lunch time. We had lunch in the show grounds because it was quiet, we could find a place under a shady tree and and I had room to get the compressor out to inflate all of the tyres.
We didn’t have an exact plan on which way we were going to head home, it was going to largely depend on the progress we made. We were thinking of stopping in at Cania Gorge for the night, but being Easter Sunday it would have been crawling with people. We weren’t even sure that a site would have been available in the unpowered area.
As the afternoon wore on we came to the conclusion that it probably wasn't the best idea to try and push all the way through to Cania, so we ended up stopping at Biloela. It was a better solution because it also meant a shorter drive home the following day.
We stayed in a nice van park off the main street. The park was pretty quite as it was more geared for catering to mining employees. Just after we checked in, a coach tuned up to pickup the 6pm shift workers that would have been staying in the cabin accommodation. Each van site had its own ensuite. There was plenty of space in the park I was putting this down to the recent downturn in the mining industry. I am sure that we wouldn’t have been able to get a site in the boom times.
Unfortunately I forgot to take of photo of our camp :-(
