Oz Trip - Day 154

Day 154 – 2/10/2012 – Sorrento

We didn't have much planned for the day so we were in no rush to get moving. We headed back to Torque that we missed the previous day for a bit of a quick look around.

Hmmm, I wonder which way the prevailing winds come from!

The number of large surf shops was unbelieveable.
It was then onto Queenscliff to catch the car ferry across Port Phillip Bay to Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula. It was far quicker to catch the car ferry across than trying to drive all the way around and negotiate Melbourne with no GPS! It was the biggest car ferry that I had ever been on and it dwarfed the one that we always catch across to Moreton Island! The ferry ride was only 40 minutes.

The massive ferry.

Once in Sorrento we spent a bit of time just walking the main street and Jodie doing a bit of shopping.

That afternoon on the way back on the ferry there were some dolphins playing in the wake of the ferry. Unfortunately I didn't catch them in time.

Wasn't quite quick enough elbowing my way through the crowd!
