Day 29 - 30/6/2016 - Tinaburra to Charters Towers
And so the long trek home begins with that feeling of impending doom that the holidays are nearly over :-(
It was a beautiful morning leaving the Tablelands. We will definitely be back to explore more of the region and hopefully not just a flying visit.

It was a very uninteresting drive and it seemed to take forever. Again we weren't sure whether that was due to the feeling of the holidays being nearly over.
We stopped for lunch and refueled at The Lynd Oasis Roadhouse. It really was a bit of an Oasis as it broke up the landscape.

The Lynd also housed Australia's Smallest Bar - It was about the width of a person |
It was late by the time we arrived at the Charters Towers van park so we didn’t have a chance to drive through town to get a feel for the place. It was lucky we had booked as we were only just able to squeeze in and they were already turning travellers away before we checked in.
